Everyone says “fairy tale” wedding, but it’s usually just a hyperbolic way of saying “amazing” or “beautiful.” Brittney and Matthew’s wedding actually felt like a fairy tale.

First we saw the dress and said “oh my god this dress is amazing.” Then we saw the venue and the balcony off the back of the house and said, “yep, we’re doing her portraits here.”

Brittney said she chose the dress specifically after seeing the venue. Needless to say, her choice helped lead to our favorite bridal portraits of all time.

And that magic continued throughout the whole day. After a heartwarmingly sweet ceremony that was equal parts emotional and hilarious, we took the two out for some private portraits around the grounds at The North Star House.

There’s something really exciting about a golden hour set at a venue you’ve never been to before. And we had good reason to be excited for this one- it felt like every location just worked. Perfect weather and time of day, their chemistry, her bouquet, his sharp suit with her wedding dress…everything just came together for pure magic.

If we had a way to relive this day, we 100% would. And we wouldn’t change a thing.
